Kate Hudson found Nine audition ‘terrifying’

Kate Hudson has confessed she was a bundle of nerves when she went to audition for the musical-romantic film Nine.

The Almost Famous actress, who split with New York Yankees baseballer Alex Rodriguez, said that bagging the role of Stephanie was anything but easy.

“That awkward moment when you first open your mouth and start to sing is terrifying,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

The 30-year-old star, who co-stars with Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Fergie and Sophia Loren, beat Anne Hathaway and Sienna Miller to land the role.

She further told Oprah Winfrey in a TV interview that being a part of the project was “maybe (her) best experience to date”.
